The Crew
Water Tunnel from the 1850's
Working as a lighting designer you get to meet
a good amount of people with a wide
variety of interest.
One such person I met happen to be into urban
exploration, she knew some one who worked for a
reputable company that explored and documents.
He lead us to a De-commissioned water tunnel
built in the 1850's leading into a city that
was growing by the day.
We walked about 2 miles south and saw some of
the markers they placed every 100 feet.
There were also pieces of history slowly decaying under the city
a small view back in time. I wish I could have found a date.
Bricks left over from the build, I think it would be neat to
see my family's name preserved in time.
Getting down wasn't easy, you had to be some what fit
to get down into the tunnels, they didn't make it easy for people to get down there, WATCH YOU STEP!
These gears use to dam up the tunnel when they needed to restrict water flow into the city.
They are now rusted in their position forever.
Over all I would say I have a pretty exciting life!

Starting Again
I am starting a Blog again, I want to share my work and my passions.
I am a lighting designer who like every one else is waiting for my big break.
I have been working in lighting since I was a young teenager.
working lights at my local church, then moving on to night clubs, eventually to bigger venues and then some local companies.
I have some touring under my belt and I have to say its my favorite part of the industry. Starting in one city and moving from place to place and doing it all over again.
The bonds you make with your fellow tour mates is
like that of a close family. They can get on your nerves at times but will always have your back.
One of my favorite memories on tour, We had a wifi router on the bus that didn't quite work and our animated tour manager wanted to know if it would work better out side the bus.
He opened a window and let it fly, you may still get some reception around Kelowna, BC.
I am glad that we didn't have ready access to our phone's it gave us a chance to talk and get to know each other and exchange war stories.
Such as the time I was on a corporate gig and my 2nd decided it was time to re-patch the dimmers in the middle of the show.
Looking back now its a good laugh, but at the time it was
chaos to say the least.
This is just the start, Ill have photos to post later.
